The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) has issued a health advisory regarding the Zika virus and its potential impact on pregnant women and their fetuses. Zika is a mosquito-borne illness that can lead to birth defects in newborns.
If you are pregnant or planning pregnancy and have traveled or plan to travel to areas of Zika virus transmission, including South America, Central America, Mexico and the Caribbean, please speak with your CHA provider. Please check the CDC website for an up-to-date list of the affected countries
