Flu Shots for CHA Primary Care Patients

This year it’s more important than ever to get a flu shot. It can protect you, and your friends and family members, from getting sick.

Getting a flu shot will also help protect people at highest risk of getting serious flu-related illness. This includes people with chronic disease, older adults, pregnant women and young children*.

How to get a flu shot:

  • Schedule your appointment in MyCHArt.
  • Call your CHA primary care center. They can make an appointment for you and/or your family at our CHA flu clinic locations:
    • CHA Malden Care Center: Flu clinic on Saturdays.
    • CHA Assembly Square Care Center: Flu clinics on Monday-Friday during the day and Monday-Thursday evenings.

Note, you need an appointment for a flu shot at Malden and Assembly Square. Patients can schedule at either clinic regardless of where they usually receive primary care.

  • Call a CHA Teen Health center.
  • Walk-in flu shots at any CHA outpatient pharmacy.
    • Many other local pharmacies are also offering flu shots. Local pharmacies may require appointments and may have insurance and age limits. So it’s best to call first.
  • Attend a local flu clinic:

* Remember, this year, the state of Massachusetts is requiring all children enrolled in child care or school to get a flu shot by December 31, unless they have a medical or religious exemption.
