Endocrinology

The Endocrinology division at Cambridge Health Alliance focuses on the body’s glands and the hormones they produce. Your glands (thyroid, pituitary, adrenal, ovaries, etc.) control many body functions, from hunger to blood sugar to reproduction.

Our skilled team provides care for a wide range of conditions, including diabetes, thyroid disease, polycystic ovarian syndrome and osteoporosis. We work closely with you and your primary care provider to help you live a better life.

A Team Effort

Managing endocrine disorders is a team effort. Patients are usually referred by their primary care doctor, to help treat and manage their condition. We work closely with your other providers, including dietitians, physical therapists and surgeons. We will be informed, so you know what to expect at every step in your care.

Patients with diabetes can also benefit from our diabetes nurse educators. They may work with you to show you how to use an insulin pump or continuous glucose monitor.

Endocrinology is available in Cambridge, Somerville and Everett. Our pediatric endocrinology clinic is at CHA Cambridge Hospital.
