The CHA laboratory provides everything from from routine blood and urine tests to special tissue evaluation. We are certified by the AABB (American Association of Blood Banks) and CAP (College of American Pathology).
If You Need a Lab Test
Please ask your doctor or care team where to go for your test. CHA has Lab Stations at our main campuses (see below) and several Care Centers.
- You need a request for testing (an order) from your healthcare provider. Testing will not be performed without orders.
- Appointments are now required for lab work.
- The phone number (617-665-2522) is for CHA patients. Patients from outside CHA should contact their doctors for a suitable testing site.

Your Results
Your lab test will be analyzed using state-of-the-art instruments and equipment. Results will be reviewed by medical doctors (Pathologists) with years of experience interpreting and diagnosing a broad range of conditions.
Your results will be released as soon as possible. If you have a CHA provider and use MyChart, you may be able to get results faster. Most lab results are automatically released to your MyCHArt account about 72 hours after results are final. Radiology results are not available on MyCHArt.
