Sexual & Reproductive Health

Sexual and reproductive health begins by understanding your own body. We’re here to help you get the answers you need in a safe and confidential space to support your sexuality and make reproductive health choices that are right for you.

Your Care at its Best

Reproductive Health Counseling

Health Counselors in many CHA locations can speak with you about reproductive health issues from birth control to HIV/AIDS counseling and testing regardless of your age, language, ethnicity or ability to pay.

Community Health Education

CHA Health educators offer classes and workshops in a variety of schools, community organizations and healthcare settings. Trained staff provide age-appropriate classes in a variety of formats and cover topics such as birth control, pregnancy, Sexually Transmitted Infections (STI), healthy relationships, communication skills, sexuality/stereotyping/homophobia, puberty, pregnancy and more.

School-based Youth Programs

Teen Health Advisory: A weekly after-school peer-leadership program in Somerville. Groups are guided by Health Educators, and focus on peer-led education and self-selected health topics. Join the group and you can coordinate bulletin boards, cafeteria information tables, as well as contests and fundraisers. The program combines a science-based curriculum with service learning.

Empowering Youth in Our Community (EYC): If you’re an Everett High School Student, you can earn credit for this year-long health elective. You’ll learn about self-awareness and healthy living, and choose a group community project to work. The science-based curriculum will help you improve your grades, avoid pregnancy and stay in school.

Helping Hands at Work (HHW): This after school peer leadership and community service program is guided by health educators. You’ll meet weekly to work on a group community project using a science-based curriculum to support your service learning.
